Spring has finally sprung here in North Carolina.
It is time to tuck away all of your heavy coats and sweaters and bring out your spring favorites.
I am all about neutrals right now, and love the way that some of the streetwear kings are incorporating neutrals into their looks. I am seeing a lot of material mixing in recent styling which transitions so well from winter to spring. While you tuck your wool and corduroy away, you can reach for those lighter layers that provide not only texture but depth to an outfit.
Gorgeous weather took me to exploring the city and I found a really cool project site for a new building. The adjacent building provided some great lighting for this shoot and I’m really excited for how the pictures came out!
I knew that I wanted to wear one of my favorite colors in this outfit, pastel pink; so I grabbed my longline tee shirt from H&M first and built the outfit from there. To provide contrast I went with black denim with the biker jean details around the knees, but any black jeans would work great here. Distressed denim could be another great way to add dimension to the outfit and create a sense of nonchalance. A light selvedge denim shirt was the outer layer which not only serves as a functional layer when the temperature dips towards the evening but also is a great way to lighten up the stark black in the pants.
I am all about boost. If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying on a pair of adidas shoes with boost you need to find your closest shoe store and make it happen. There is A LOT of hype surrounding the adidas shoe world right now, but once you try on a pair you will understand why. I recently picked up these triple white 3.0 Ultra Boosts and what a great way to finish off the outfit! Not only are they beyond comfortable, but they are a super hot style piece. If you don’t have a pair of Ultra Boosts grab your favorite white shoes, maybe some Stan Smiths, Common Projects Achilles, or Jack Purcells. White shoes are a MUST for the warmer months!
