Why are you creating wood sunglasses opposed to other materials? Are they thoughts to pursue others in the future?
We have chosen to bring a unique selection of wooden sunglasses to market for a number of reasons. Our wooden sunglasses are meticulously handcrafted to perfection and come in a range of different colours. There are actually 2 main companies that have a monopoly on the entire sunglasses industry. Luxottica and Safilo own the rights to almost every major luxury brand of sunglasses you can buy today. From Dior to Chanel and Ray-Ban to Michael Kors. We set out to differentiate ourselves in a number of ways. We seek to provide the highest quality of product to our customers at an affordable price. We do this by cutting out the middleman and working directly with our manufacturer who handcrafts the final product. The end result is a fashionable, stylish and unique pair of sunglasses.
That being said, we will also be introducing a number of different products under the Fabel brand. We are creating a lifestyle brand and are in the process of selecting products to expand our offering. Fashion accessories and apparel is our main area of focus going forward so be sure to keep an eye on our store for the next surprise.
2. What separates you all from the leading sunglasses brands?
As we mentioned above, there is a complete monopoly in the sunglasses and eyewear industry. By cutting out the middlemen and working directly with our manufacturer we can provide the highest quality of final product to our customer at a very reasonable price. All Fabel sunglasses come with UV400 polarized lenses as standard and are lightweight and elegant. Our wooden design gives a natural feel and is extremely comfortable and light to wear. As a brand we always strive for the highest of quality and want to provide as much value as we can for our customers.
3. What is new and exciting for Fabel right now?
We’ve just literally this week launched a new summer collection of sunglasses with all new mirror lenses and new frames. This is another exciting step our our journey and we will be expanding our offering past just sunglasses very soon. Styling:
A great lightweight tee shirt with a chambray long sleeve top is a simple way to layer in the summer! Black chino shorts were my choice of contrast in the outfit and olive wingtip sneakers tied the top back into the bottom of the outfit. The wood accent in the glasses serves as a different texture for the outfit while also being a functional tool to combat the summer sun!
